Frequently Asked Questions

What is Airbit?

Airbit is a cloud-based aviation maintenance compliance platform designed for MROs, CAMOs, and Airlines. It helps organisations manage work orders, track airworthiness directives, maintain component records, and stay audit-ready — all from a single, intuitive interface.

Think of it as modern compliance infrastructure for aviation maintenance: replacing spreadsheets, paper forms, and fragmented tools with one connected system.

Who is Airbit built for?

Airbit serves three primary audiences:

  • MROs & Part-145 organisations — managing repair stations, line/base maintenance, and work orders
  • CAMOs & Part-M organisations — handling continuing airworthiness management and maintenance programmes
  • Airlines & Operators — needing fleet-wide visibility, MEL management, and regulatory reporting

Whether you manage 5 aircraft or 500, Airbit scales to your operation.

How long is the free trial?

Our free trial lasts 14 days, with full access to all Professional plan features. No credit card required to start — just sign up with your work email and begin exploring.

At the end of the trial, you can upgrade to a paid plan or export your data. We don't believe in lock-in.

Which compliance frameworks does Airbit support?

Airbit is built to support the major aviation regulatory frameworks:

  • EASA — Part-145, Part-M (CAMO), Part-147, and Part-21
  • FAA — 14 CFR Part 145, Part 121, Part 135
  • GCAA — CAR-145, CAR-M, CAR-OPS

Our workflows embed regulatory requirements directly into your daily operations, so compliance becomes a natural byproduct of doing work — not an extra step.

Can I import data from my existing systems?

Yes. Airbit supports data import from:

  • CSV/Excel files (structured templates provided)
  • Existing MRO systems via our import API
  • Industry-standard formats (SPEC2000, IATA AHM)

For Enterprise customers, our implementation team will handle the full migration — including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.

What integrations are available?

Airbit integrates with common aviation and business tools:

  • ERP systems — SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics
  • OEM data — Boeing AHM, Airbus MRO Portal, engine health monitoring
  • Document management — SharePoint, Docuware
  • Communication — Microsoft Teams, Slack (notifications & approvals)
  • Open API — RESTful API with webhooks for custom integrations
Is my data stored in the EU?

Yes. All Airbit data is hosted in EU-based data centres (Frankfurt, Germany) with ISO 27001 certification. We are fully GDPR compliant and provide data processing agreements (DPA) for all customers.

For organisations with specific data sovereignty requirements, our Enterprise plan offers dedicated infrastructure and regional deployment options.

What happens after the trial ends?

After 14 days, you have three options:

  • Upgrade — Choose a paid plan to continue with full access
  • Export — Download all your data in standard formats (CSV, JSON)
  • Extend — Contact us if you need more time to evaluate with your team

Your data is retained for 30 days after trial expiry, giving you time to decide. We never delete data without notice.
